Copper free TIG rod for the welding of creep resistant steels “type 92” modified with additions of tungsten (W), vanadium (V), niobium (Nb), nitrogen (N) and boron (B). These elements give rupture strength about 30% higher than type 91 steel. Application includes heat exchangers, boilers, piping in Ultra Super Critical (USC) power plant with service temperature up to 630°C. Xf<10. Ni + Mn < 1% allows higher PWHT temperature.
