AC-DC inverter power source for TIG welding (H.F. and Lift-arc) of alloy steel, iron-carbon alloys, aluminium and magnesium. It is used in MMA welding with acid, mild steel and low-hydrogen electrodes. It is used in maintenance and medium-to-light structural steel works.

The SKYLINE ALU series inverter generators are specifically designed for AC TIG welding of aluminum and its alloys. They also allow DC TIG welding of steel and for MMA welding of acid, rutile and basic electrodes. The arc striking in TIG welding is triggered by HF or LIFT ARC.

 

TECHNOLOGY
The inverter technology and special design features allow for reduced weight and size without losing reliability and performance. 
Thanks to the microprocessors, welding is controlled moment-to-moment which allows stability, dynamics even at minimum amperages and perfect arc ignition
These generators have been designed for high performance, offering significant advantages in terms of efficiency and reliability. The efficiency of the processes saves production time; controlled ventilation and cooling allows for further reduction in energy costs.  
The control panel allows you to adjust the settings in an easy and intuitive way, both in touchscreen mode or using the knobs.You can configure 3 levels of complexity depending on the operator's experience level. You can save up to 99 programs as Jobs. For added safety, the interface can be locked with password-protected access to functions.

PROCESSES
Numerous functions are available for TIG welding, including:

  • the ascent ramp and the descent ramp (from 0 to 10 seconds), the pre-gas and the post-gas (from 0 to 25 seconds)
  • synergistic post-gas
  • Option to set the initial and final current time
  • Option to set base current, current 2, initial and final current can be set as an absolute value or as a percentage of the main current
  • The PULSED TIG option, with pulse frequency adjustable from 0.1 to 5000 Hz, with adjustment of the base and peak current and duty cycle throughout the frequency range. This setting allows welding on extremely fine materials, since the limited heat input reduces deformations in the welded metal.
  • AC welding with rounded square wave to reduce arc noise while safeguarding welding quality.
  • High peak current which allows AC TIG welding without wave deformation up to the maximum current
  • Mixable welding alternating DC and AC (TIG mix function)
  • Automatic rounding of the tungsten welding torch in AC
  • Timed welding with optimum time management (spot welding)
  • TACK' function: allows you to join two edges with high penetration, speed and precision

In MMA welding, the Hot Start and the ARC Force are adjustable.  

There is also a VRD function, required for use in increased risk environments.

Remote adjustment can be done using manual, pedal or up-down torch controls.

The generator is also equipped with a series of devices and sensors that guarantee maximum efficiency and safety.
