Inverter power sources for MIG/MAG TIG and MMA

DC inverter power source for pulsed/double-pulsed synergic MIG/MAG welding of steel, iron-carbon alloys and aluminium, MMA with acid, mild steel and low-hydrogen electrodes and TIG (H.F. and Liftarc) of alloy steel and iron-carbon alloys. CMP 320 is the new multifunction synergic inverter-based generator with built-in wire feed, for use in MIG/MAG continuous wire welding, short/spray, pulsed and double pulsed arc (on steel, stainless steel and aluminium), in TIG welding with HF or LIFT ARC striking and in welding with coated electrodes (MMA).


The inverter technology and the special design features have contributed to the reduction in weight and size, as well as in absorbed power, without penalizing their reliability and performance. The welding process, regulated by the microprocessor one thousand times a second, allows steady welding, with an exceptional dynamic even with low amp values, free from splashing and with perfect striking of the arc. The synergic control allows the automatic selection of the optimum welding parameters, even in the harshest working conditions, guaranteeing precision and repeatability.


The fully digital control board, equipped with a wide OLED display, facilitates the selection of the type of welding process. In MIG/MAG welding, thanks to the SYNERGY function, the setting of the parameters is carried out simply by selecting the type of wire, the diameter and the gas used. In order to suit the different users’ needs, all parameters can be set and modified manually, as well. TIG welding operation allows adjustment of slope-up, slope-down, pre-gas and post-gas between 0 and 10 seconds. The PULSED TIG option, offering adjustable pulse frequency between 1 and 250 Hz, as well as adjustable base and peak current, allows welding on very thin plates as the limited heat produced reduces the risk of deformation of the welded metal. MMA welding operation allows adjustment of both Hot Start, to facilitate arc start when welding with coated electrodes, and Arc Force, to prevent these from sticking when welding. The power sources are equipped with appropriate safety devices to ensure their performance. A temperature sensor and the mains voltage control (fluctuations between -10% and +10% of the nominal value) protect the internal components.


Remote control CD1 and CD4 (hand-operated) and remote control CD2 (foot-operated) are available for ease of use.
