Inverter power source for DC TIG and MMA welding

DC inverter power source for TIG welding (H.F. and Lift-arc) of alloy steel and iron-carbon alloys. It can be used in MMA welding with acid, mild steel and low-hydrogen electrodes. It is designed for use in maintenance and light structural steel works.

HFP160 is the power source for DC TIG welding with HF or LIFT ARC start, and MMA welding of steel. The inverter technology and the special design features have contributed to the reduction in weight and size, as well as in absorbed power, without penalizing their reliability and performance. These units are ideal for repair and maintenance work on sites and in workshops. The reduced absorbed current means they may also be used where low power output is available. The welding process, controlled by the microprocessor thousands of times per second, ensures optimal stability, exceptional dynamics (even at low amperage) and perfect arc start. The user-friendly and intuitive control board allows to quickly set the welding parameters and displays their exact instant measurement, thus ensuring process quality and reproducibility. HFP160 allows adjusting the rise ramp, descent ramp, pre-gas and post-gas from 0 to 10 seconds in TIG welding. The TIG IMPULSE option (impulse frequency adjustable between 1 and 10 seconds) or FAST TIG IMPULSE (impulse frequency adjustable between 1 and 100 Hz) with adjustment of the base and peak current, allow welding very fine thicknesses, as the reduced amount of weld material reduces the deformations in the welded metal; in MMA welding, the hot start can be adjusted to make it easier to strike the coated electrodes, and the arc force can be adjusted to avoid lack of fusion during the welding process.
